The Museum of Techno Art (MTA) is a collective of dreamers and makers, showcasing art with technology and industrial themes. Reflecting on the history of human invention, retrofuturism, and imaginative machines of the future, MTA brings traveling exhibitions that spark delight and inspiration. Using a wide variety of traditional processes and their industrial derivatives, which actually span millennia, they create one-of-a-kind sculptures, assemblages, and whimsical wall pieces—imagining and reimagining artifacts from possible futures, distant pasts, industrial influences, and repurposed consumer debris. Their vision transcends genres, united by a shared dedication to creating exceptional art experiences that bring fun, excitement, and wonder to every space they exhibit.

The MTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and is seeking funding to expand in the future. Memberships are available & donations welcomed.

Plus featuring members Nik Skoog and Patti McNutt: "THE BIRD WHISPERERS"

Pacific Northwest Artists Nik Skoog and Patti McNutt will be exhibiting their collection of oil paintings with birds as the star. The idea came about more than a year ago during a discussion of having a show at EAC with similar subject matter.

Nik has always painted birds. His partner and he both enjoy watching birds while kayaking Fern Ridge, walking along the river at D Street in Springfield and their own Wooded home. He is endlessly awed the beauty, form, color and magic that are birds.  Seems whenever he gets stuck on what to paint next,  He can always fall back on his old friends, the birds.

For Patti McNutt, birds have always been a personal favorite to paint but became a bigger part of her artistic repertoire with the onset of Covid. With bird feeders set up outside home and studio, she and her husband Mike began to look forward to their only daily visitors. As the world opened up, they began participating in bird walks in Eugene and California. Although Patti uses some of her cell phone images, Mike’s photos have provided reference for a large part of her recent work.
