The Emerald Art Center presents the “Best Foot Forward", favorite pieces by 

The Plein Air Painters of Lane (and other) Counties. PPLC Members have been

busy painting in and around Lane County this year. This group of artists have

two days per week scheduled for painting en plein air (outside) but also have been enjoying some studio time. This show is a collection of their recent,

favorite work. This organization is free to join and all levels of experience are warmly welcomed.

Also showing is featured EAC member, Melanie Pearson. Melanie's vivid palette and vibrant paintings seek to capture a moment, a mood, and the spirit of her subjects. There is a sense of immediacy and power in her imagery and choices. The idea of ‘being here, now.’ Through her canvases, Melanie implores the viewer to feel a human connection to the tactile and colorful world that engulfs us.

 

As well as, artwork from students of the Dotty and Frank Light Summer Art Camp.
