The Emerald Art Center presents: A community art exhibit "Raptors of the Pacific Northwest" by Cascades Raptor Center.

Showcasing artwork from the Cascades Raptor Center's 2024 Raptor Art Challenge, the "Raptors of the Pacific Northwest" exhibition features Oregon artists and their portraits of birds of prey found in the Pacific Northwest landscape. Highlighting Owls, Eagles, Falcons, Osprey, Hawks and Vultures, the juried exhibition includes a selection of youth and adult artists capturing creative relationships to raptor species and the importance of their stewardship.  

 

Also: Chamber Music Amici is thrilled to share the artwork of Susanna Bemetz from Coquille, Oregon. Five of her alcohol-based ink paintings will be featured during Chamber Music Amici's 2024-2025 season. Susanna Bemetz: “I specialize in alcohol ink painting and mono-type printmaking. I also have a lot of experience with acrylic and oil.”

 

Plus: Artist and author Bonnie Smith will celebrate her 97th birthday in June with an exhibit of her oil, watercolor and pastel  paintings.  Many of her paintings have never been shown, so they will be priced to sell. Additionally, visitors will be given an opportunity to order her memoir book, Black-Eyed Peas and Turnip Greens, published when she was 92 years old.
