Rather than have the police patrol/ control parking, the City of Springfield has turned it over to Diamond Parking. This means the street "free" parking and lot diagonal to EAC  has a two hour limit Mon.-Sat. and the front (South) area of the lot between the Emerald Art Center and Springfield History Museum is 3 hr. parking  Mon.- Fri.. This can be inconvenient to downtown visitors staying or working longer..

Unlimited parking is only available on C Street or beyond. (North)

Permit parking is available for a monthly fee.
