JANUARY & FEBRUARY
FUNdamentals of Drawing

Each month, Pam, a retired art teacher, will present a separate, 2-hour, drawing lesson.
This class will help boost your comfort level in making marks, because anyone can learn to draw. We will have fun with lines and shapes while exercising your brain-hand connection to enhance your drawing skills.

January’s focus will be on Line and Shape. Confident, strong lines enhance
your drawing skills.

February will emphasize Value,
an unappreciated aspect of drawing.

In March we will explore Composition, the arrangement of elements around the subject that will bring your message to the viewer.

MARCH
Spring Splash with Watercolors

With spring comes freshness and new beginnings. This workshop will give you the tools to tackle watercolor (which may seem daunting to some people) and create fresh, unique, one-of-a kind paintings. The challenge for you will be to let go, get out of the way, not worry about the outcome, and let the paints and paper play together. We'll use different types of paper and techniques to create "starts," one of which you will bring to a finished painting. All levels welcome. The only requirement: be ready to play and explore and enjoy how watercolors can make amazing images.
