EMERALD PRINT EXCHANGE
Whiteaker Printmakers [Whitprint] and Print Arts Northwest [PAN]
collaborated to create an international call to printmakers.
Trade original artwork with other PRINTMAKERS
For a small fee, printmakers from around the world each submit an edition of 12 identical, hand-pulled prints in any of the many traditional printmaking techniques, from woodcut to etching to screen print. In return, participating artists receive a selection of 10 original works of art from other participants.
Raise funds for both nonprofit arts organizations
A portion of the registration fees are used to cover the cost of packaging and postage for the exchange with the remainder split between WhitPrint and PAN. In addition, the remaining 2 prints from each edition are set aside for PAN and WhitPrint to show and sell to support the work of both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in their programs for promoting printmaking arts in the Pacific Northwest region.
