Visiting Mexican artist, Javier Hernandez Capello, coordinated painting a unique mural on our alley-side north wall with the help of local high-school students and teachers during September, 2004. Capello wantd the students to use their own images and impressions of the community they live in when working on the mural. He encouraged the students to add more spirit into their work, wanting them to reach into themselves, to express what they felt when painting, and to use color freely.
