Marilyn O'Brien

Marilyn was born and raised in Millis, Massachusetts. After marriage in 1974, she moved to California and became interested in Tole' painting. In 1980, she relocated to Eugene, Oregon, and devoted time to raising a family (two children) and working for the Eugene School District.

Having always been interested in watercolors as a medium, in 2001 she attended watercolor classes with Ellen Gabehart and Richard Quigley. In the fall of 2002, she began taking classes with Lavonne Tarbox-Crone and still attends her classes on a regular basis. She also took two week-long workshops with Judy Morris in March of 2004, and March of 2005.

Marilyn is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon (since 2004), and the Emerald Empire Art Association (since 2005).

* 41st Annual Aqueous Media Exhibition in Tualatin, Oregon (2006)

Marilyn's interests and hobbies include golfing, reading and sewing.
