Pleasant Hill artist Izzy Fletcher was raised in the foothills of the Oregon Cascades. Her love for the outdoors and nature shows in her land and seascapes. Her work is in many private homes and offices throughout the United States as well as Australia, England and Japan.
Izzy was in the Gilchrist High School Graduating Class of 1942. She studied art at the University of Oregon, Lane Community College, as well as at workshops and classes with numerous accomplished art instructors.
A member of Emerald Empire Art Association since 1975, Izzy has been on the board of directors since 1976, serving as president for three two-year terms.
Izzy has worked tirelessly to promote art in the community, revitalizing downtown Springfield, and the renovation of the Gerlach building (now known as the Emerald Art Center). She was Art Superintendent at the Lane County Fair for several years, and is now Superintendent of the Artisans Studio.
