Gladys Bacon-Rust

A native New Mexican, Gladys brings over 40 years experience to her representational style in pastels and watercolors. Her art studies have included such teachers as Carl Cogar, Tom Lynch, Frederick Wong, Ken Hosmer, Albert Handell and Anita Wolff.  Mediums include oil, watercolor, acrylic, egg tempera and pastel.

She has owned and operated her own gallery, held numerous one person shows, and won cash and recognition awards locally and regionally. Her paintings hang in private collections across the country from Florida to Michigan, California to Massachusetts, Texas to Oregon, as well as Switzerland, Indonesia, France and England.

After living in Taos, NM for ten years and painting the Southwest for most of her life, Gladys has come to the Northwest to be near family and discover a new inspiration for her paintings.
