Diane Lang's love of art began as a child, drawing and painting with her mother. She enjoys drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting, collage, pastels and photography. She often uses her photographs for the subjects of her paintings. When her children were in elementary school, she served as the volunteer art teacher on Fridays after the school's art teacher was cut. Art has been a lifelong source of balance, inspiration and rejuvenation. She always looks forward to doing art and finds it a nice complement to her sometimes overwhelming work life.

Since 2000, Diane Lang works as the Executive Director of HIV Alliance, a regional health and social services nonprofit focused on care, prevention and education. She also teaches as an adjunct at the University of Oregon Planning, Public Policy and Management Program. Prior to managing HIV Alliance, she was an attorney for 16 years specializing in health law, beginning her career with Hershner, Hunter law firm, before moving to the Oregon Department of Justice and then to teaching at the UO School of Law. She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law and Gettysburg College.

She lives in Eugene, Oregon and has 2 children in college. She volunteers on the boards of the Community Health Centers of Lane County and A3 (the Academy of Arts and Academics in Springfield.)
